Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm | Mt. Alford

Home of the famous Lavender Ice Cream!

Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavendar Farm is undoubtedly one of the most unique tourist destainations in Southeast Queensland.

The stunning, rustic property consists of a cellar door, restaurant, and rolling fields of lavender, which overlooks six hectare of vineyard and beautiful scenic rim mountains. You will feel as though you've been transported to the south of France but you're only 65 minutes out of Brisbane in the exquisite Fassifern Valley at Mt. Alford.

It almost sounds to perfect to be true but rest assured this enchanting place really does exist! Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm opened it's doors 14 years adding yet another fantastic gem to the scenic rim's repoitore of attractions.

Since it's beginning the vineyard and lavender farm has undergone a number of changes and upgrades, but the plans new owner, Doogan O'hanlon, has in store are perhaps the most exciting yet!

On our visit O'hanlon gave us the scoop on the future of Kooroomba. He plans to expand the gorgeous lavender farm and add a rustic chapel right smack in the middle. Can you imagine tying the knot surrounded by breathtaking fields of fragrant lavender, a moutainous backdrop and let's not forget the fact that it's a vineyard! Just think of all the beautiful local wine! Kooroomba has a large variety of wines including Chardonnay, Verdelho Marsanne, Vermintino, Shiraz, Cabernet, and Melrot.
